As the DBSA, our primary purpose is to promote economic development, growth and regional integration through infrastructure finance and development.

Through our infrastructure delivery capacity, the DBSA aims to augment the capacity of the State to deliver economic and social infrastructure.

As one of Africa’s leading development finance institutions, it is our responsibility to promote inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development and growth. To achieve this, we mobilise funding for infrastructure development that fuels transformation across the African continent.

The aim of the Infrastructure Fund is to transform public infrastructure financial provisioning using blended finance by combining capital from the public and private sector financiers, Development Finance Institutions’ and Multilateral Development Banks.

The objective for the DBSA is to mobilise funding which will be used for the purpose of developing sustainable and environmentally-friendly infrastructure solutions.

Our aim at the DBSA is to assist municipalities to adopt sound infrastructure plans across  all priority sectors that identify sustainable projects for funding.
