Black Economic Empowerment
The introduction of the Codes of Good Practice (the Codes) under the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act, makes it possible for organisations to track their Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) performance against an agreed set of parameters which are comparable across all organisations and form an integral part of the South African economy. Transformation forms an inherent part of the business and naturally includes stakeholders, staff, clients, procurement practices, business partners and the community.
At the DBSA, we believe that BEE forms a natural and integrated part of sustainable business and every staff member’s support will be required to ensure consistent progress on maintaining and/or improving our rating going forward.
